Red Mountain Golf Course is the newest golf course in Phuket and it is the second course at the Loch Palm Golf Club. The golf course is unique as it was built on an abandoned tin mine. The designer made use of this historical fact by designing the course across the entire tin mine, hence the course is very hilly.One of the attractions of this course is the historical landscapes. The course has both small and large greens, with the putting surfaces smooth due to the use of Bermuda grass. The tees and fairways are grassed with Seashore Paspalum. The course give some birdie chances with its few shorter par 4’s however the 12th, a 481 yard par 4 is much better for the hitters. Accurate shot placement is also required with the par 3’s. Of all the courses in Phuket the Red Mountain Golf Club course is one of the Top 3 on Phuket Island.
